Reception go Planting Trees

A group of Reception children travelled to Stevens Park in Quarry Bank and met with Councillor Sparks, who is the Chairperson of the Friends of the Quarry Bank Park committee. The children dug holes and planted 11 new seedling trees.

It was a beautiful day and the children really enjoyed this community activity.

Billy Goats Gruff

On Thursday 23rd November, Reception class went to Forest School and found the Billy Goats Bridge. The children took on the roles of the characters and acted out the story, stamping their feet to trip–trap on the bridge. There were some very impressive goats and trolls and great fun was had by all.


Firework Dancing in Reception

On Friday 3rd November Reception class had a lovely time dancing on the asto-turf with pom-poms. We exploded into the air and twirled around to represent the different types of fireworks you can see in the sky. In smaller groups, we sequenced moves to make up a firework dance and performed this dance to each other.
