Netball Team

September to November 2014

Mount Pleasant Netball Team entered the Stourbridge Primary School Netball League and played various matches against other schools from September 2014 to November 2014. The team was selected from the after school club which the children attended fortnightly due to high numbers wanting to be part of the club.

Both girls and boys played in the league following the High Five Netball rules where the children are required to rotate, therefore learning and experiencing playing each position. All children were required to shoot, attack and defend developing their skills. They all enjoyed the competition factor gaining the ‘want to succeed’ attitude, but at the same time learning to respect their opponents.

Five matches were played and Mount Pleasant won four and drew the last game. They came an impressive second place in the league, only beaten by goal difference. They received individual medals and a trophy for the school. We are very proud of their achievements and look forward to another successful league in the Summer Term.

Well done to you all!
