Educational Visits

Educational visits play a vital role in enhancing our curriculum and bringing learning to life beyond the classroom (LOtC). At Mount Pleasant, we believe that children learn best through real-life experiences, exploration and discovery.

From Nursery through to the end of Year 6, we carefully plan a rich and varied programme of visits that support and extend classroom learning. These experiences give children the opportunity to explore new places, develop independence and curiosity, and create lasting memories.

Our visits include regular opportunities to explore our local area, helping children build a strong connection with their community, as well as at least one visit per year group that involves travelling further afield by coach. This ensures that every child enjoys a broad range of Learning Beyond the Classroom experiences during their time at Mount Pleasant.
