The School Day
Start and end of the day routines
The gates are opened at 8.45am every morning to allow parents to safely drop off their children. The children can then go straight to their classrooms, and the school bell rings and gates close at 8.55am.
At the end of the day, children are dismissed via allocated doors, onto the playground at 3pm. They will only be allowed to leave with adults that the school have been notified about. Parents are asked to provide school with a password which will be asked for if someone else is collecting their child.
The total time this amounts to in a typical week is 31.25 hours
From September 2023, all state-funded, mainstream schools will be expected to provide a compulsory school week of at least 32.5 hours. We are currently working on changes to our current working day to accommodate this change. We will inform parents and carers of these changes during the summer term 2023.
