The School Day
Start and end of the day routines
The gates are opened at 8.45am every morning to allow parents to safely drop off their children. The children can then go straight to their classrooms, and the school bell rings and gates close at 8.55am.
At the end of the day, children are dismissed via allocated doors, onto the playground at 3pm. They will only be allowed to leave with adults that the school have been notified about. Parents are asked to provide school with a password which will be asked for if someone else is collecting their child.
The total delivery time of a school week is currently 30 hours 25 minutes.
From September 2023, all state-funded, mainstream schools will be expected to provide a compulsory school week of at least 32.5 hours.
From September 2023 the new school times will be:
Reception to Year 6 8:45am - 3:15pm. The gates will open at 8.40am to allow children onto the playground to line up ready to be registered to go into class.
Our youngest children in Nursery attend a 3 hour morning or afternoon session. Children are welcomed and delivered back to parents/carers at the same door.
Morning Nursery begins at 8:30am and ends at 11:30 am.
Afternoon Nursery begins at 12:15pm and ends at 3:15pm.
