Sport and PE at Mount Pleasant

We have a thriving PE curriculum. We encourage children to take an active part in PE and sporting activities across the school. We run a range of after-school clubs and pupils are selected to represent the school in competitions.

We have  been very successful in recent years winning competitions in football, netball, T-Ball and gymnastics.

We have  had our most talented pupils selected for county and district teams in football and netball, and our gymnastic team has represented Dudley schools in borough wide competitions.

What is Sports Premium?     

The Government provides additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in Primary Schools.

This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - is allocated to all primary schools. 

This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
