Mount Pleasant Primary School

Pupil Voice

Pupil Leadership Team

These important roles are appointed from applications, to represent the school as excellent role models in their attitudes and efforts. We have two Heads and two Deputies in these prestigious roles.

School Council

The School Council consists of two children from each class from Reception to Year 6.

The Pupil Leadership team also attend the School Council meetings.

The process of nomination and election is used to teach the children about democracy and fairness.  All members prepare and deliver their own manifestos and are voted onto the School Council through a ballot.

House Captains

We have four House Captains, who apply for their positions in writing, and are then chosen by their teachers.

They lead and stand as role models for our four Houses, proudly championing their Houses and encouraging their team to work together to gain as many housepoints as possible to be awarded the House trophy every month.

The Houses are named after the lead crystal companies which were world famous and are an important part of our local history.

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are chosen to support our children and our whole school Behaviour and Relationships policy by being excellent role models and by supporting other children who may be experiencing friendship issues. They access training through The Diana Award and attend regular meetings with Mrs Derbyshire to work though issues together or to access training.
