Welcome to our wonderful primary school! As your headteacher, I am thrilled to be part of this vibrant community where every member truly matters. At our school, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment that is safe, stimulating and, most importantly, happy!

We hold dear our key values of resilience, respect, and relationships which go on to unlock our heart values of happiness, honesty, compassion, pride, positivity and aspirations. These principles guide us in our daily interactions and shape the future citizens we are nurturing: our "Mount Pleasant People"!

Our vision is simple yet powerful: "Believe it, achieve it." We encourage each child to embrace challenges and reach their full potential in a supportive and caring environment. We love to celebrate our children's achievements and understand that we are all unique and have individual needs which, as a school, we strive to nurture so that we can send our incredible "Mount Pleasant People" into the world where they can flourish.

I am immensely proud of our school, which has sat proudly in the midst of our community since 1888, and the incredible achievements we share together; making history every day. Building partnerships with our families and the wider community is essential to our ethos, as we all play a vital role in supporting our children’s learning journeys. It is not a coincidence that we see generations of families bringing their children to Mount Pleasant year after year - it is a very special place to be.
