Forest school is an integral part of our curriculum, providing rich, hands on learning experiences that link across all subject areas. Through weekly visits to our local nature reserve all children engage with the natural environment in meaningful ways that supports learning across the curriculum, whilst also promoting physical development and wellbeing. Forest school encourages curiosity, problem-solving, creativity and teamwork, helping children to build confidence, resilience, independence and communication skills. By learning outside of the classroom, children can develop a deeper understanding of the world around them and make strong connections between classroom learning and real-life experiences, so that they can thrive and succeed!
